My wife, Rhonda, and I were led by God to move to San Diego and start Grace Point Church back in 1992 and have enjoyed the adventure of planting and growing this local Body of Christ ever since.  My passion is to help as many people as possible experience the freedom and power that comes from a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  

We have four sons (Ryan, Seth, Luke and David) and one daughter-in-love.  My education includes a Bachelors degree from Texas Christian University, a Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Gateway Seminary.  Things I enjoy (alongside pastoring GPC) include long walks on the beach or on any hiking trail, watching movies and soccer with family, playing Hearthstone, seafood, being a Walk Thru the Bible Instructor and an adjunct Professor for Gateway Seminary.

A more focused area of passion for me is leading men to become reproducing disciple makers as they understand a Biblical view of masculinity and are equipped to help pass on Biblical convictions to the next generation.  I also enjoy helping men understand the season of Midlife and how to thrive through it and beyond it for God’s glory.
